Tension & Gesture: A Hand Study
A study in tension and gesture: a hand gripping a cricket ball, sculpted in ZBrush and finished with groomed XGen hair, hand-painted Substance Painter textures and Arnold rendering.
Hands are deceptively difficult. Every tendon, knuckle and skin crease has to agree with the grip, and the viewer’s eye knows instantly when it doesn’t. The breakdown render strips the piece back through texture, topology, clay and shader, because the finished image is only half the argument.
